There are currently 5 standard ways to advertise your sites online free while sending free traffic to your websites through 5 seperate exchanges: Text ad exchange, banner exchange, mini-banner exchange, autosurf traffic exchange, and manual traffic exchange. There are other ways to advertise to the members as well. This page will help you get the most out of your membership and help you set up your ads.
We anticipate adding another means of advertising very soon when the Internal Email System is in place. Later this year we will be adding in a Block Ad Exchange as well.
Use the Manage Ads Section on the Top Menu Bar of your Members' Backoffice to navigate to the area where you can add your sites, banners, and text ads. Very important things to note:
- You must surf the minimum required websites on each traffic exchange in order to activate your sites and ads and to receive your bonus credits for each exchange.
- Free members must surf a minimum sites monthly to keep their account and ads active
- Free members also receive Monthly Bonus Credits. When you run out, you do not need to rejoin. Simply surf the minimum to get your monthly bonus credits each month.
- Free members receive 10 of each ad type for a total of 50 spots.
- All ads and sites are hand checked by Admin and tested using Site Scanner before being allowed on the surf.
- You do NOT need to assign credits to your ads/sites. The script will automatically draw credits from your account for you.
- You spend credits each time your site is rotated on the surf, or an ad is displayed either on the traffic exchanges or in an Ad Exchange.

- The Description in any ad or site is for your use only and is used to tell you what that ad or site is. It is NOT part of the ad or site and no one sees that displayed when your site or ad shows in the traffic exchanges or a website.

Text Ads
Text Ads are similar in format to what you get at an FFA venue EXCEPT these are permanent rotating ads with links.

Banner Ads
The standard size for the regular banners is 468x68. We do have a 'forced size' mechanizim to fit any image into that format.
When you mark Yes, show offsite the banner displays not only on both traffic exchanges, but on all the Banner Ad Exchanges - including the Xtream Members webpages, as well. This gives you incredible reach for your banner advertising.
Banners have one line you can use for a text ad - called a text tip. This text displays to the viewer in the event your image does not AND is always visible to the search engines.
Note the Description is NOT part of the Banner Ad. It does not display anywhere. It is what you call the ad and only you and Admin ever see it.
Like the standard banners, there is a 'force size' mechanizim to reduce images to the correct size format. Do note however that some images do not size down very well, so you are better off creating or having some create for you a mini banner that is the correct size. Like the regular banner, the mini banners have a text tip which will display if your image does not.
Mini banners have their own exchange seperate from the regular banner exchange. They alternate in the traffic exchanges with the Text Ad exchange. This means sometimes a row of text ads will display, other times the mini banner exchange displays.

Autosurf volume and bulk traffic
The auto surf traffic exchange is no click surfing which members can run in a browser 24/7/365. They do not have to click to surf, or manually move pages in and out of the autosurf traffic window. Because of this, many members will surf for hours on end, thus sending volume traffic to member websites.
How it works
Our internal email system works like a normal emailer with one huge difference: your messages are delivered internally to the member inbox attached to their account. The email does not go to any external email. This means there are no issues with spam, messing around with the text to get your message delivered, etc. The amount of email you can send, times you can send, and who you can send to is determined by your membership level.

Mini Banner Ads
The size for a mini banner is 88x31.
Text ads rotate on both traffic exchanges and display on hundreds of webpages through the Text Ad Exchange.
The elements of a Text Ad are:
Your Link, a Title, one short line of text. Note the Description is NOT part of the ad. Description is for your use only and used to identify the ad. No one besides you and Admin ever see the Description. Your link is shown at the bottom of every text ad. Text ads and links are visible to the search engines making these excellent link marketing venues.
When you mark Yes, show offsite the text ad displays not only on both traffic exchanges, but on all the Text Ad Exchanges - including the Xtream Members webpages, as well. This gives you incredible reach for your text and link advertising.
Note that unlike the manual surfers, they are not a captive audience and they may, or may not, actually view your site. The traffic still counts as a hit, and it can help advance your site in the search engines - where potentially millions of people can see a listing on your website, program, or service.
Things to consider for sites running on the Auto Surf Traffic Exchange:
1. Sites need to be fast loading. We run fast timers, so sites need to load and fully display in 1 second.
2. Sites cannot have self-loading audio or video. This basically goes back to sites need to be fast loading. Another factor is the members of this exchange voted no to audio on the auto surf traffic.
3. For best results use your own domain pages so you get the traffic first. Use your splash pages, squeeze pages, blogs, forums, marketing pages and other types of websites to market the affiliate programs you are involved with. Then send your visitors onto those pages to sign up, etc.
The VS-Ten connection:
Xtream Members is a Pro Member of the VS-Ten traffic exchange list network. So, how does our account with the VS-Ten traffic exchange list network work exactly, and what does it do for you?
One aspect of VS-Ten is it a traffic exchange system for traffic exchanges. It works using a credit system just like a regular traffic exchange. We receive credits for bringing in sites from the Network for members to view locally. We then spend credits for sending our member websites out to the Network for members of the other traffic exchanges to view the site.
We use VS-Ten to send member websites out to close to 200 other traffic exchanges and all their members. This dramatically expands your reach beyond our membership. It is estimated there are around 150,000 unique members who belong to those traffic exchanges.
We test all sites at a service called site scanner which gives us the 'backend' look of what is going on with a website. Site Scanner reviews sites for adware and scripts that are known frame breakers.
In addition to Site Scanner, our onboard tester also pulls information from the VS-Ten database and gives us any history on the site or program. Both services help us keep the surf running cleanly and smoothly with minimum disruption to the surf.
Manual surf ad credits for free traffic
The manual traffic exchange is manual surf aka click to surf. Because the surfer must physically click to rotate sites in and out of the surf window, we
consider this quality pageviews. Because surfers must physically click on something to advance to the next site, the volume at the manual traffic exchange is considerably less than what you receive from the autosurf. Most people value the manual surf believing that surfers will actually view or pay attention to their site. This makes the manual traffic exchange a great place for potential sales and sign ups.
There is a considerable Anti-Cheat mechanizim in place so people cannot autosurf the manual surf traffic exchange. We keep the autosurfing in the auto surf traffic exchange only.
The manual surf traffic exchange is seperate and independent from the autosurf traffic exchange and uses it's own credit system. In order to receive your bonus credits for the manual traffic exchange, you must surf the minimum required sites for that exchange. Credits you earn while manual surfing are used on the manual traffic exchange only.
Other Advertising Features:
Offers:
Offers are links members click to visit a website for credits and other incentives. They are found in the Offers Section, in your Members Area, and are sometimes included in Admin Email to the members. Offers can be taken one time until Admin resets them. Offers can be purchased or awarded as prizes during Contests and Special Events. As the credits usually equal at least an hour or more of surfing, Offers can be an effective way of delivering your message and website to all the Members. Because they can only be taken once by any member, they use your credits efficiently.
Email and/or News Blurb:
Admin will often include short write ups on Member sites and programs which usually include an Offer in Admin Email and in the News Blurbs. Blurbs can be purchased or awarded as prizes during Contests and Special Events.
Prize Pages:
Prize pages are rewards that can be taken by a surfer once daily and always include a brief ad to a member site along with their link. Prize Pages can be purchased or awarded as prizes during Contests and Special Events.
First Surf Sponsor Page:
Each traffic exchange has a page that starts the surf every time a member begins to surf. It usually runs for 18 - 31 seconds. Sponsor Pages can be purchased or awarded as prizes during Contests and Special Events.
